About Us

The Musettes Ladies Chorus was organized in December of 1949 by its first director, Alberta Hoover and Leah Huff, who was the first president, meeting at the home of Alberta's sister, Elmina Madsen.

The Musettes meet for rehearsals once each week from September through May, and present two concerts each year; a Christmas concert in December, and one in the springtime.

We are organized with a president and other officers, and abide by a constitution, which we feel is one of the reasons for our success for so many years as a singing group. The other reason is that we are united as we seek the spirit of the Lord in prayer before every rehearsal and performance.

Though organized as a civic chorus, we have always enjoyed singing sacred works and church hymns, and love to share these in worship services throughout our local area and beyond.  People are uplifted, feeling the spirit of the Lord as we worship with them through the power of sacred music.

However, we also sing a wide variety of songs from all walks of life, including songs from Broadway, movies, etc.

We welcome new members who love to sing, regardless of race or religion, and only require that you are an adult female who has had some choral performing experience.
