Sorry! I'm a bit late due to the holiday. We practiced all of our songs in order. Here's the order:
We Need a Little Christmas
(Observe the rests after "Christmas," "minute," "window," etc. Remember, only one stocking!)
Fum, Fum, Fum
(Watch they dynamics)
Did Mary Know
(Bring out the melody when you have it. Altos and 2nds, get off the word "king" quickly on pg. 7)
Sleep, Baby, Sleep
(Note changes on the last page for the sopranos.)
Mary, Mary
(Watch for cut-offs)
Go Tell it on the Mountain
(Say "mountain" with more of an "ah" than an "ow.")
African Noel
Christmas Alleluia
(Remember correct pronunciation of "alleluia." Use word emphasis to prevent it sounding like a march.)
Rhapsody of Christmas
Peace, Peace
Joy to the World
General notes:
Think of your mouth as being shaped like a peanut while you sing. This will round out the sound. Remember "angels" is pronounced "AN-julls," not "An-GELS."
We are performing Wednesday at Osmond Senior Living (175 N. Main in Lindon). Wear concert dress and be there at 6:00 to warm up. We sing at 6:30!
